You can prepare for the LSAT for free. The best free resources come from LSAC itself, through its LawHub platform, which now also holds the old Khan Academy LSAT lessons. Add a few free tools and a smart plan, and you can reach a strong score without paying for a course.
This guide lists the best free LSAT prep options, how to use them, and when it is worth paying for more.

LawHub: The Official Free LSAT Prep
LawHub is LSAC’s own prep site. A free account gives you four official PrepTests in the same digital format you will see on test day. That matters, because practicing in the real interface helps you get used to the tools, timer, and layout.
Use these four tests wisely:
- Take one as a diagnostic at the start. See our diagnostic test guide.
- Save at least two for the last month before your test.
- Always take them timed, in one sitting, with the 10-minute break.
LawHub Advantage (Low Cost)
LawHub Advantage costs about $120 to $125 a year and unlocks many more official PrepTests. If you qualify for an LSAC fee waiver, you get a year of it free. For most students it is the single best value in LSAT prep.
Khan Academy LSAT Prep Moved to LawHub
For years, Khan Academy offered free official LSAT prep. In 2023, LSAC and Khan Academy agreed to make LawHub the single home for those materials, and the move was finished by mid-2024. The lessons, videos, articles, and practice exercises now live in LawHub’s free and low-cost options. If you search for “Khan Academy LSAT,” LawHub is where to go.
